FAQ

All the support & guidance you need

Where are the races? How do I get involved? Do I need to be in a club?

Most time trials in the UK are held under the rules of Cycling Time Trials (CTT) and to take part you need to be a member of a registered club. When you have joined a club you then need register with Cycling Time Trials, find a race and then enter, so now you will be asking yourself more questions!

Why hill climbs?

Hill climbs are a great introduction to racing. The races are quite short - usually about a mile - and many are held on fully closed roads so you don't have to worry about other road users. Most events have fantastic support from big crowds and the atmosphere and camaraderie at these events is second to none; which is why I have been riding them since 1985!

What events do you recommend?

The key to getting into the sport is to ride some events on a regular basis, so below are details of some brilliant race series which are being promoted this year. Remember, you do need to be a member of a registered CTT club, so click the membership link, sign up to myHill Cycling and then get involved with some races. You won't regret it!
